DISAPPOINTING BINGO WIN

Could a win ever be disappointing?  One Mecca Bingo player thinks so, particularly as she only won £5,000 and not the £250,000 she had thought.  The misunderstanding came about because she didn’t realise the National Bingo game gave all players the chance to win some of the £250,000 on the night of 21st December and she thought she had won it all.  What a devastation, particularly as she had been making plans to spend the money and then found she didn’t have it to spend!

CPAYS ADDS ADDITIONAL CURRENCIES

CANADA’S ONLINE GAMBLING PROBLEMS

It has been reported that 332,000 Canadians now have gambling problems.  The really bad news though is that a high percentage of these gamblers are college and university students.   In an effort to boost their income many students are regularly willing to gamble away what money they do have.  Online bingo and lotteries seem to be the most addictive activities.  It has been known for some players to wear a diaper so they can sit at a slot machine or a computer for long hours.  A sad situation.

Bush Administration Rules Online Gambling

It is virtually illegal to gamble online in the US now.  On Wednesday the Treasury Department and Federal Reserve ruled that procedures have to be established by banks and other financial companies to prevent payments connected to unlawful internet gambling.  In other words, these institutions cannot accept payments from credit cards, cheques or electronic transfers to settle online wagers.  The rule is to be enforced by 1st December 2009.
